The Mythallar
The heroes searched Iriolarthas's Study for information for the Mythallar and Obelisk. After pressing the Veneranda for whether she would protect Ten Towns or whether activating the Obelisk would have repercussions, they had second thoughts about handing her Iriolarthas's Staff and deceived the Netherese brain to leave. In front of the Mythallar, tensions simmered. Avarice demanded the staff. The adventurers held their ground, attuning to the Mythallar before making their decision, as Avarice watched. Auril's vanguard was approaching, and Iriolarthas's barrier grew thin. After some time Veneranda's reappearance triggered a decision. Crank threw Avarice the staff, putting his trust in the tiefling wizard and her fiendish companions. With Veneranda falling and the barrier shattering, they fought Auril, Beast of Rime. Crushing her with radiant force, the party caught their breath. Avarice, though, went flying to the high balcony of Iriolarthas's Spire. Frost reforming on the grounds, Auril's aura re-emerged, ripping her former blessing from Tetro and Gadget.
